Jaleel Turner, a Murfreesboro, Tennessee resident and a student at Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU) studying athletic training, has tragically passed away. Known for his previous work as a shoe designer for Nike, Turner’s life was cut short in a devastating incident over the weekend. Originally from Brownsville, Tennessee, he had made Murfreesboro his home.

Shooting Incident and Arrest

The Murfreesboro Police Department reported that a local woman is facing charges in connection with the shooting death of Turner. According to police, 22-year-old Shaquira Brown has been arrested and is being charged with second-degree homicide. The shooting occurred at approximately 2:00 PM at The Southern – Apartment Homes located on Lascassas Pike.

Investigation Details

Initial investigations suggest that Turner was shot once inside the apartment shortly after an argument with Brown. The police have indicated that the situation escalated to a tragic end, leading to Turner’s untimely death.

Brown is currently being held at the Rutherford County Adult Detention Centre on a bond of $750,000. A court hearing has been scheduled for January 8th at the General Sessions Court in Rutherford County.
