Tragic Discovery at Sikh Temple in Turlock, California: Man Found Dead in Apparent Suicide
Authorities in Turlock, California, are investigating a tragic incident at the Sikh temple, where a man’s body was discovered, appearing to be the result of a suicide by gunshot. The incident occurred at the Turlock Sikh Temple located in the 1300 block of Fifth Street, prompting a swift response from multiple emergency services, including the Turlock Police Department, Turlock Fire Department, and American Medical Response.
Emergency teams arrived on the scene at approximately 9:19 AM, where they were informed that a person had reportedly shot themselves in the prayer hall. Initial reports indicated that the individual had succumbed to their injuries, and the firearm used in the incident was found nearby. Most of the temple’s congregation has gathered outside the building while the service is temporarily halted.
Upon arrival, officers determined that the individual was already deceased, leading to the cessation of any medical efforts. Law enforcement has secured the area, establishing a crime scene as they work to identify the deceased.
