According to reports from the Wall Township Police Department, the collision happened around 6:42 p.m. A Ford Explorer, driven by a 72-year-old Farmingdale resident, struck Losacano as it traveled southbound on State Highway 35. Emergency responders transported Losacano to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune for treatment. Despite intensive medical efforts, he succumbed to his injuries nine days later.

The incident is being investigated by the Wall Township Police Department, the Monmouth County Serious Collision Analysis Response Team (SCART), and the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office.
